FindingDeals.net

Hey, I just bought the domain name FindingDeals.net from 1and1.com. They are setting it up right now and it will forward straight to here when it's ready.

Soon I will be moving this blog to my host, HostMonster.com. I want to make this blog into something pretty awesome and I'm considering of creating forums for users to post great deals that they have come across (alright, it's a knockoff of slickdeals.net, but there is always room for more sites like that to save us money!).

Anyways, expect some pretty cool things coming here in the next few weeks.

Heavenly Sword (PS3) $14.99

Wow, wow, wow! People have been reporting that their local Target store has Heavenly Sword of the PS3 on clearance for $14.99, what a great bargain! Now, keep this in mind my little blogging friends, a lot of Target deals are YMMV (Your Mileage May Vary), meaning it might not be $14.99 at every store. Some people have been reporting their store having it for $29.99, others for $39.99, so it's hit or miss.

Keep in mind that Target's electronics go on clearance and get marked down on every Monday, so you might want to venture out and see if you can get it for that price tomorrow.

Just some hints on how to get it for this price... if you find it for a more expensive price, hide the game in the store someplace. Go back on the next Monday and scan it to see if it was marked down. Also, don't call! Those zit faced punks at Target are notorious for stealing great deals from consumers when they find out about something. Just walk in, check it out. If you can't find the game, you can ask then and they will be able to look up to see if they have any left.

Just Signed Up for PayPerPost

Hey readers, I'm going to start updating a lot more around these parts now. I have been working hard on some of my other blogs and this blog wasn't really generating that great of traffic. Granted, I am competing with a bunch of forums dedicated to what this blog does once or twice a day.

However, a few weeks ago, I signed up for PayPerPost.com and was finally approved. I figure I can throw in some sponsored posts in between posting some really good deals for you guys to take advantage of! I guess it's only fair to any of my readers that I make it obvious that certain posts are benefiting me financially, in fact it's a part of PayPerPost.com's word of mouth ethics.

It's pretty awesome that there are websites out there that are dedicated to helping bloggers get paid to advertise someone else's website. I mean, I could post that I am willing to post about someone's blog or website for a small fee, but honestly, how many people would jump on that opportunity since most bloggers reading this site are in a similar situation as myself.

Anyways, if you're looking to monetize your blog, consider applying for PayPerPost.com. If you're afraid of how your readers will react to your paid reviews, just make them aware of what you are doing. On top of that, most people watch TV with commercials, is it really so wrong to have another form of information/entertainment have commercials, especially when the commercials can be skipped all together?

Amazon HD Goldbox Week!

Alright, it's halfway through the week, but I figured I'd let you know since there are still 3 days of deals left. Amazon's Goldbox Deals is a pretty great way to get awesome deals on things daily.

They offer one deal that lasts the whole day and then 4 Lightning Deals which each last a few hours hours or until it runs out of stock. They also will give you 5% off things they think you'll love which change daily. These things are chosen based on past purchases and wishlists.

For your convenience, I have added an Amazon Lightning Deal Widget to the sidebar, so check back here daily for all the latest deals that Amazon has to offer without having to navigate all over the site.

$85 in Gas Cards ($75 for Gas + $10 for Sears) or Free Steaks!

Just in time for Dads Day, Sears has a pretty awesome deal in store starting this Saturday. If you buy $100 in Dockers clothes (excluding shoes), you get a $75 gas gift card, a $10 Sears gift card, and a chance to win a new Toyota Prius. Granted, all this is in rebate form, so you can only give Dad some pants and a few shirts on Fathers Day, but $100 worth of clothes is pretty nice and you can keep the cards.

The Press Release explains all the details, so make sure you check it out. You can get the rebate form here.

Another thing to keep in mind, K-mart gift cards now work at Sears (and visa versa) and Sears has a bunch of sales on Men's Dockers through Saturday to save even more money. They also are offering a Stimulus Check Bonus of 10% back to save even more. Just some things to think about.

I've also read that Kohl's Department Store is doing something similar, but with Omaha Steaks. You can check out the details and get the form here.
